Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026

Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of CiteLevel, an AI visibility platform operated from Germany. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these terms.

If you have questions, contact us at support@citelevel.com.

What CiteLevel does

CiteLevel tracks how often your brand appears in answers generated by AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. We run automated prompts, score the results, and present you with weekly visibility reports and improvement recommendations.

Our scores are measurements — not guarantees of any specific business outcome, search ranking, or AI response.

Free trial (Pro plan only)

The Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at €149/month.

The Business plan does not include a free trial and billing begins immediately upon subscription.

You can cancel your trial at any time from your dashboard settings. No charges will be made if you cancel during the trial period.

Payments and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription, use the "Manage subscription" button in your dashboard. This opens Stripe's secure billing portal.

If payment fails (e.g., expired card), we will attempt to charge your card up to 3 times over a 7-day period. If all attempts fail, your subscription will be cancelled and your access will be revoked.

Right of withdrawal

As our service is a digital product that begins immediately upon purchase, the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law is waived at the moment you confirm your subscription and we begin processing your data. By subscribing, you acknowledge this and agree that the right of withdrawal no longer applies once the service has started.

For trial subscriptions, you may cancel during the trial period without charge, which serves as your withdrawal period.

Acceptable use

You agree to use CiteLevel only for lawful purposes. You may not:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.

Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

CiteLevel is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost revenue or business decisions made based on our visibility scores. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

AI model outputs are generated by third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity). We are not responsible for the content of their responses or any changes to their models that may affect your visibility scores.

Your data

You own your data. We process it only to provide the service. For full details on how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal reasons (e.g. billing records for tax compliance).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will only apply to new billing cycles.

Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. Any disputes will be resolved under German jurisdiction.
